always sort of sent me a message: Men are Perverts.

Phobia 1: Spiders
Phobia 1 Comments: I am so scared of spiders that one day I would not even
leave my house because there were five spiders on the front porch and one HUGE
one on the back door (we are talking three inches, not including legs). My
husband laughed at me, but there was no way I was leaving the house.
Phobia 2: Needles
Phobia 2 Comments: I have a panic attack whenever I have to have blood
drawn (I am slowly controlling that one) or and IV (still totally loose it). It
is so bad, I have had to have people hold me down. Even seeing a needle,

my fear of moths. i especially hate the ones that have patterns on them. the

Phobia 1: hydrophobic
Phobia 1 Comments: I drowned in a pool when I was seven. I choked on sand
in the ocean when I was 14. I guess you could say I've been unlucky. I've just
had experiences that have led me to fear water. I will be fine for a minute or
two...then mid-swim, I just freeze and curl into a ball and sink.
Phobia 2: entomophobia
Phobia 2 Comments: I'm not afraid of all insects, just crickets. Growing
up my parents told me to stay away from them (the black ones). They "carry
disease and illness" is all I ever heard about crickets. I moved to Arizona a
few years back, and there are a lot of crickets here, but they're brown/tan.
They fall out of lights and get into every corner of the house. Having enough
of them fall on my head, and already having it ingrained in me as a child that they're dangerous---well, now I'm just deathly afraid. I go into panic attacks.
Phobia 3: hemaphobia
Phobia 3 Comments: I'm only afraid of human blood. I became afraid of
human blood when I was ten. A neighbor of mine fell out of a tree, and he hit a
street sign on the way down. He lost the skin on his forearm all the way to the
bone. Now I get faint when I see even a blister that has popped.

~¤~¤~¤~¤~¤~¤~¤~¤~¤~¤~¤~¤
Name: Mae
Date: 10/3/02
Phobia 1: Severe Weather or "Stormphobia"
Phobia 1 Comments: All it takes is a puff of wind for which I cannot
rationalize a source and my heart rate begins its race toward full-blown
anxiety. Rain, for the most part, bothers me not. Rain plus wind, however,
rapidly turns me into a wild-eyed, easily-spooked animal. In fact, that's what
my stormphobia makes me feel like: A cornered, wounded animal, ready to lash out
at every thing and everyone, regardless of its/their intent.
Phobia 2: Clowns
Phobia 2 Comments: Clowns, marionettes and even some puppets are NOT on my
hit parade. Phobic of them? No, not really. But do I like them? Definitely
not! As far as I'm concerned, Ronald McDonald, for instance, is a non-human dressed
out in a parady of a real human: Everything in the right place, but just not quite "right."

Phobia 1: arachnids
Phobia 1 Comments: Spiders send me into seizures, especially enormous spiders, but the tiny wolf spiders don't bother me. In fact, I play with them sometimes.
Scorpions also send me into fits. I've been known to sleep in my vehicle because of constant scorpion outbreaks in my home.
Phobia 2: High Bridges
Phobia 2 Comments: Overpasses and channel bridges terrify me, without question. Usually, I will pull over and make a passenger drive me over the bridge, or I'll take street-level "short-cuts" in order to avoid going over a bridge.
Phobia 3: Dark open spaces
Phobia 3 Comments: It has been said once that "I do not fear the dark, but rather what it conceals."
And if it's a large, open room and it's dark, it can conceal a lot.
Tiny, dark places don't bother me at all, however.
Phobia 4: Chewed gum
Phobia 4 Comments: My mother places it all over the place in the kitchen to save it for later, and it can be found anywhere from the cookie jar to the top of the computer monitor.
Phobia 5: People
Phobia 5 Comments: It's a paralysing fear that's made me leave jobs, avoid public places, and refuse to go anywhere without a friend or family member to accompany me. This is about every person, but it's more-so about men.
Phobia 6: Open water
Phobia 6 Comments: I can't get into water that I can't see the bottom of. I'll go to the beach, but never the water.
Phobia 7: Burned at the stake
Phobia 7 Comments: I'm afraid that living in the south and everyone's misconstrued throughts about my religion will make them burn me at the stake one day.
Phobia 8: Severe Weather
Phobia 8 Comments: I'm scared of high winds and tornadoes, but I can't stop looking at them.
Phobia 9: Anger
Phobia 9 Comments: I go into panic attacks when someone is angry around me. I can feel their anger, it radiates and when I feel it, it hurts me.
Phobia 10: Republicans

Phobia 1: Falling
Phobia 1 Comments: I can go into an glass elevator and be ok... but if I am on the edge of
a high place looking down I freeze. Knowing if I am to fall I am going to die or a heat attack
or feel the pain when I hit bottom
Phobia 2: lightening
Phobia 2 Comments: I have always been afraid of lightening. Since I was a child. If there is
a storm I stay away from all windows, and if I am outside and it starts to lightening I turn
into a scared 5 yr old. I will start crying and shaking and will run for cover.
Phobia 3: Basements
Phobia 3 Comments: I know where my fear Phobia of basements comes from, its just trying to
overcome it. As a child i was locked in the basement because I wet the bed. I wet the bed
because I had to walk passed the basement door to get to the bathroom. Now I am afraid if I go
into a basement the door will shut and lock behind me and I will be trapped.

Phobia 1: Clowns
Phobia 1 Comments: Clowns are evil, they just put a mask on to cover it up.
Phobia 2: Fish
Phobia 2 Comments: I don't know how or why... fish freak me out more than clowns do. We
just went on a vacation to Mexico and I couldn't even get in the water in fear of the fish. I
tried to get in the water but I almost had a panic attack.
Phobia 3: Flying
Phobia 3 Comments: I think that is the whole 'control' issue. I have no control on what is
going on and I'm afraid of plummeting to the Earth in a fiery hell.

Phobia 1: the DARK
Phobia 1 Comments: I am terrified of the dark and have had to sleep with lights on since I
was a baby. Every room in my house including my car has multiple flashlights, candles, lighters
within reach of whereever I am. I sleep with a lamp on and the TV and if the power goes off I
instantly wake up and stay up until the power comes on again.
Phobia 2: Blindness
Phobia 2 Comments: I am so terrified of blindness that I even had Lasix surgery to improve
my eyesight because if I went blind then I would be in the DARK forever..
Phobia 3: Roaches
Phobia 3 Comments: I hardly ever see a roach but when I do I spazz out.
Extra: I also am very very uncomfortable around clowns or mimes. They are very creepy to me.
I don't trust them.

I have even had the experience of waking up to find a spider the size of a fifty cent piece on
my arm. It is almost like they seek me out. In fact today as I was making my bed I noticed
something dangling in front of me, my worst fear was confirmed, SPIDER!

Phobia 1: Heights
Phobia 1 Comments: I am very much scared to death of heights. Its kinda funny to see me in a
hotel room that is like on the tenth floor. I slowly inch my way over to the window. I think
that I am mainly afraid of heights because I know that you can fall and the falling part scares
me more than actually being up high.
Phobia 2: Being alone
Phobia 2 Comments: I've never really ever been left alone all night before. When my sister,
who lives two hours away, had her baby, my mom left me home alone because my dad was out of
town too. I freaked out in the worst kind of way. Luckily my older brother called to talk to my
mom and I asked him to come stay with me.
Phobia 3: Death
Phobia 3 Comments: I'm not positive where this came from, but I can remember when I was
maybe two or three laying under the kitchen table crying and screaming that I didn't want to
die. It's unknown to me and I think that is why it scares me like it does. I don't know what
it feels like to pass and I never will until it is my time to pass.

I have to clean at seven times a day to make sure that there is no dirt surrounding me.
I have to take a shower at least five times a day to ensure that there isn't any dirt build up.
Phobia 3: Ignorance
Phobia 3 Comments: I strongly dislike ignorance and for people to have a
strong bias against something they are unaware about makes me sick.
Ignorance is like the plague you can't get rid of it but boy would I like to just spack it

Phobia 1: butterflies, moths, flyng beetles, flying cockroaches, crickets
Phobia 1 Comments: I have phobia of all insects but the worst one by far is Butterfly (Moth) Phobia. The earliest memory I have about my phobia was when I was 6 or 7. After I watched some silly local (I'm from and living in Singapore by the way) TV movie about some preserved in cases butterflies coming back to life and attacking a young kid around the same age as I was then. I guess my phobia just keep "growing" since then. My boyfriend and friends laugh at my phobia and think I'm nuts that a single, teeny, tiny butterfly can turn me a grown woman into quivering jelllified heap of terror. I'd scream like a mad woman and go into panic attack and that's so not funny. I even get goosebumps just from looking at pictures of butterflies! Insects (esp butterflies and moths) are just plain creepy. Hate the fluttering. Gosh, I just hate insects SO MUCH!
Phobia 2: Pill Swallowing
Phobia 2 Comments: I have never heard of anyone with this phobia. When I was a kid, I choked on a small pill. No matter how small the pill is, I just CANNOT swallow it. Period. If I'm sick and the doc doesn't have my medication in liquidfied form, I'll crush the pills and dissolve them in small amount of hot water. I know it sounds gross to alot of people and I hate how it tastes too but to me it's so much easier than to swallow the pills!

Phobia 1: butterflies, moths, anything that flies (sometimes birds)
Phobia 1 Comments: I don't know when it began. I remember being a very little girl and seeing a big, black and yellow tiger swallowtail butterfly in the garage window of my childhood home. I would not go in the garage. I didn't ride my bike for three days. I would walk all the way around the house to get to the front door, in case the butterfly should fly out the open garage door JUST AS I WAS WALKING PAST. I couldn't take that chance. Anything with flapping wings terrifies me...a bird got into our house once and was flying around...my dad and my brother were chasing it with a broom while I ran upstairs to my bedroom and slammed the door. Birds outside are okay, though. Only in encloses spaces are they bad. Butterflies and moths are not okay ANYWHERE. My mother can have one land on her finger. I can't. I'm scared out of my mind every time I even see one. I watch it warily out of the corner of my eye to make sure it's not coming my way. I always say (jokingly) to my fiance, "If you ever want to kill me, put me in a room with many butterflies. I will drop dead from a heart attack right there." And I truly believe it, too. The show "Fear Factor"--if I ever went on that, butterflies and moths would be my challenge. I'd never be able to stand it. People say how irrational it is, that they're so beautiful and so harmless. But I don't care. I'm petrified.

Phobia 1: arachnophobia
Phobia 1 Comments: I can't stand the spiders - not just the big ones, but every, even the smallest ones. Living in Europe is a pretty good treatment because we don't have anything bigger than three inches (legs included), but when I was living in the States (SE Idaho), I've got to cope with hoboes and wolf-spiders... which was too much for me.

Phobia 1: Heights
Phobia 1 Comments: Have dreams about flying (no psych references, please) then crashing out of control. Total nervous system lockup, I can breath and blink only. Hate to fly, had to twice for the military and once when I got married.
Phobia 2: Barn Owls
Phobia 2 Comments: You know, the cute furry one with the all whote face and those two black eyes on the middle. I hate those Damned Things. My grandfather thinks it has something to do with something else in my life. There is a possibility, based on my own fuzzy recollections and the words of an old man, that I have been abducted. And not by terrorists.
Phobia 3: Ghosts
Phobia 3 Comments: The thought of them gives me the chills down to the bottom of my scrottum (the guys know what I mean) My mother has a theory about this. I had an imaginary friend when I was very young. I can sort of remember some things, but it's hard to know what's real and what was a game, and only real in my head. My friend was a pig named...naturally, piggy. He was a cartoony, sorta felt covered pig. But he was REAL to me (I think) I talked to piggy all the time, i could see the little fugger. I saw him watch me eating, I saw him while I was watching tv or coloring. I have a picture in a scrapbook I an pretty sure piggy helped me draw. There is one event I KNOW was REAL! My Aunt Renee and my mother were with me at the house we lived in. I was taking a nap. My younger brother had just been born, and he was sleeping in a crib across the room from me. I was five. The crib my brother was sleeping it was a family heirloom. Solid oak, built more like a beer keg than a crib. The thing had to weigh at least two fifty (that's pounds) because my father and uncle had to wrestle the thing into place when we moved. Solid as stone. The crib started sliding towards the bed i was in. the rug it was sitting on buckled up in front, it was not being lifted, JUST SHOVED. I started screaming like a five year old white boy, (read ten year old girl) and woke my brother up, who started crying. The crib stopped moving, but by now was well over a foot away from the wall. I was screaming "stoppit piggy!" when my mom and aunt came in. They saw what looked like two screaming children. Then my aunt saw the crib had moved. She started screaming louder than us, and I can DISTINCTLY REMEMBER being scared by that. To this day a women's scream will make me remember that scream my aunt made. They scooped us up, me with my aunt and my mom got my brother. We went to the neighboor's house. My mom called my dad and her father. The men showed up, there was a little talk, lots of soothing words. The two men shoved the crib back into place. Then we went out for ice cream.

Phobia 1: WHALES
Phobia 1 Comments: I hate whales(excluding orcas), when I see them I almost scream and I get all itchy and heat streaked. Whether its on the TV, pictures, or real life. I'm so freaked out by them. my girl friend used to say it was funny becuase I'm a "grown man" but it's far from funny. I love dolphins though!
Phobia 2: Planes

Phobia 1: social phobia
Phobia 1 Comments: I'm just about sure i have this, but no one would believe me if I told them... I can't eat in front of people, I'm a very rebellious person, but I just can't stand justifying myself w/ an authority figure in person. I have gone through these things for so long, personality wise, I hate people, but I feel comfortable around people most of the time. (note: my father also claims to "hate people.")
Phobia 2: escalators
Phobia 2 Comments: I can't stand escalators going down. I'm easy w/ the ones going up, but sometimes they make me feel eery. My father says when I was younger, I refused to even go near them. I'm usually plagued by thoughts that my pants leg, shoelace, or something will get caught in between the steps when it's moving.

Phobia 1 Comments: I really can't stand to see or hear the snow on TV when the cable cuts out. I don't know why but it creeps me out - even in daylight. My sister thinks its funny and used to unhook the cable so when I turned on the TV, I would jump. Now, we have digital TV so it just shows a black screen.
Phobia 2: sleeping in my house alone
Phobia 2 Comments: I have insommnia but when I'm alone in my house, it gets really bad. I'll stay up until 2 am watching TV or being on the internet and then I'll shut it off to go to bed. Once I get in my room, shut my door and turn off the light, I swear there is someone eles in the house. I'll lie in bed for like 15 minutes before getting up and turning on my bed light and reading. I would listen to music but I'm afraid there IS someone in the house and I don't want 'them' to know I'm there too.

Phobia 1: Roaches
Phobia 1 Comments: I'd have to say that my number one phobia is definitely of roaches. I remember a couple of times when I was about 11 I've thrown up a couple of times after seeing a dead roach in my basement. Every time I see one alive or dead I end up screaming and running the other way. I don't go anywhere near that area until like a week after at least. I think I got this phobia when my dad put a plastic fake roach in my sandwich when I was like 5.
Phobia 2: Clowns
Phobia 2 Comments: I hate clowns with passion. I think I've been afraid of them ever since I saw this one movie when I was like 4 and all the clowns started to kill everyone. There was this fun house that everyone ended up dying in and there was like blood coming out from the water faucet. Thats all that I can remember but it's enough.
Phobia 3: Dark
Phobia 3 Comments: I am really afraid of the dark. I thought it was normal at first because most 5 year olds are afraid of the dark, but I'm 15 now and I cry whenever I go into the dark. The biggest factor of the dark that freaks me out is that I have no way of knowing who is in the room with me. What if there is like a burgler or something in the room with me. I always feel so helpless in the dark, I also hate not knowing and feeling helpless.

Phobia 2: Ladders
Phobia 2 Comments: Going up I am fine, I can climb a ladder till I am exhasted, but coming down is a whole different matter, I start to panic, I sweat and I can't breath. Doesn't matter if I am only 2 rungs up and less than two feet off the ground. I can't stand the idea of coming down. I have to have someone hold my hand just stepping down from a step-ladder.
Phobia 2: Empty swimming pools
Phobia 2 Comments: If they are filled with water I am one happy duck, if I see an empty one I start having a reoccuring nightmare of all these people standing in a pools with me and they are dead, I can tell they are dead but they can't seem to see me or see each other. Phobia 1: Fear of my stomach being touched
Phobia 1 Comments: After reading all everyones phobias... i feel kinda weird... cuz this is a crazy phobia... but I don't know why I freak out... but if anyone ever touches my stomach... it freaks me out... and it makes me REALLY uncomfortable... sometimes to the point where I have an emotional breakdown and just start crying... and I start shaking. I don't get it... but I can't stand my stomach being touched... when I do it? its fine... but other people doing it just scare me... even if its family or my boyfriend... Its weird I know.
Phobia 2: Nucleomituphobia
Phobia 2 Comments: Another fear I have is of Nuclear weapons/war. I have vivid, descriptive nightmares of it... and the sound of planes freaks me out just because i become paranoid and think we might be being bombed. It makes me duck or look for cover. The thing that sucks about that is the fact that I live so close to an airport that I can watch them take off from my upstairs window. In any case... nuclear weapons scare me beyond anything else... [other than the stomach thing]

Phobia 1 Comments: My claustrophobia isn't as bad as yours is, but whenever I'm in a crowded place like in an elevator or even in a group of people I feel really nervous and it's hard for me to breathe sometimes.
Phobia 2: glossophobia
Phobia 2 Comments: I'm terrified of giving speeches. I get really nervous and shaky and I can't hardly breathe. On days that I know I have to give a speech, I go through the entire day terrified and nervous.
Phobia 3: thanatophobia
Phobia 3 Comments: I can't stand to think about death. I guess it's because nobody knows what happens when you die. I'm not religious so I don't believe in heaven and hell or anything like that.
Phobia 4: agoraphobia
Phobia 4 Comments: not too bad, but I hate to be around crowds of people.
Phobia 5: acrophobia
Phobia 5 Comments: if this is like heights, then this is definately my worst phobia. I went to a basketball game a few months ago and we were in some of the highest seats and when I looked down, I felt like I was going to faint. When I was little, I used to have these really creepy dreams every night where I'd be climbing a latter and right as I got to the top the latter would start falling. I always woke up before the latter hit the ground, but it always terrified me. A few years ago I went o Rick's Cafe in Negril Jamaica and they have a very high cliff there. I was so scared, I could barely even look over the edge. Every time I'm in a high place, I always picture myself falling. I'm not afraid of flying in planes though. I love flying in planes.

Phobia 1 Comments: I've been studying phobias lately(The different types and causes) to try and find my own fears. It was hard because for my whole life I've been fearless. Later I found out that not all phobias are fears. They're also things like extreme dislike/sensitivity to things. After that I found heliophobia. I really, really can't stand sunlight and my eyes are very sensitive to it, not to mention my skin.
Phobia 2: Waking up
Phobia 2 Comments: I'm not afraid of falling asleep, or sleeping(hypnophobia), but rather I'm afraid of waking up after I fall asleep. I'm not sure if it's a real phobia(probably not), but it's a fear of mine. I get all freaked out and even start shaking sometimes for the first few minutes after waking up. I usually just get freaked out, unless I'm woken up by an alarm clock....then I get all shaky.

Phobia 1: Moths
Phobia 1 Comments: Can't look at one. Can't look at a picture of one. DEFINITELY can't touch one. I have to be careful with nature magazines, National Geographics, etc. because they like to do articles on them and sneak in surprise 2-page blowups of them.
Same with my daily routine come summertime. I only go to gas stations with those types of lights that don't attract bugs. And I give the whole entire area intense scrutiny before I even consider exiting the car, even if I don't get gas. This phobia is really bad because I have to change my routine so much to avoid them, especially when going out.
I think the absolutely worst incident happened when I opened a little-used outside door in my bedroom one summber afternoon (the outside door and screen-door had been closed up all winter) I opened the door and walked away to do something. When I walked back into my bedroom I saw a HUGE dead moth on the floor at the door. I really thought I'd have to go to the hospital that day. It was the absolute worst day on my life, to see the object of your darkest fear in your own BEDROOM it was just an abomination. That incident really undid me. This incident was the beginning of the end (see Phobia #2)
I want to get help but I'm too scared. I'm afraid that they'll make me look at pictures and touch one or something. Or the psychiatrist will let one loose in the office to gauge my reaction. The larger the specimen, the worse my fear.
Another strange thing is that if I talk about them too much, or look too long at pictures, I'll get a most strange tickly feeling at the right side of my neck. I have it right now and it's very unpleasant. I have to press my hand there to relieve the feeling. I've declined posting my email address because I don't want some freak sending me pictures.

Phobia 2 Comments: Now I don't know if this is related to Phobia #1 but I can't look at pictures of these either. Can't deal with them, it's too terrifying. Knocking heavily on wood, I haven't had too many incidents with bats. If one got into my building at work, they could forget about me returning until it was dead/removed.
Unfortunately, one got into the same house as mentioned above; shortly after the moth incident. Besides nearly having a heart attack, I busted my lip open on the car door, trying to get into the car. Imagine escaping your home at midnight clad only in your nightclothes. Like I said, it was beginning of the end for that apartment, I only slept there once or twice afterwards before moving out. Some people have chronic bat problems in their homes and laugh about it; I'd just prefer to live out of my car.

Phobia 1: Feet
Phobia 1 Comments: I know this sounds weird, but I have a foot phobia. I am terrified of being touched by feet. My friends like to tease me about it and sometimes put their feet on me just to irk me. I tend to get this icky, skin-crawling feelings and if I can't flee the scene or reason with the person, I'll resort to hitting the person until they stop.
Phobia 2: claustrophobia
Phobia 2 Comments: I have a fear of closed spaces, in particular, rooms without windows. I can handle it for a few minutes, but after about 20 minutes, I start to get nervous, almost to the point of a panic attack. I guess it's a fear of being trapped, like Edgar Allan Poe's "The Premature Burial" (creepy yet intriguing story!)

Phobia 2: scotophobia
Phobia 2 Comments: I am so scared of darkness, well actually this covers alot of things.Like for instance, my fear of rapists, people with guns, being robbed, which isn't them taking my stuff, but if they have a gun . . . Alot of creepy things happen in the dark.
Phobia 3: Social Phobia
Phobia 3 Comments: I cannot speak in public.I had a C in English, because I was absent, and the only way to make it up was to stand at the front of the room and tell what we learned.I did 2/3 because she got tired of waiting on me.I get in front of people and don't know what to say.My vision gets blurry and I get really queasy. I don't really like to meet new people either.I get scared they're going to reject me, or for instance let's say i meet a serial killer . . .
Extra Comments: I have a lot of fears, but some cover many, like my fear of disease comes from my fear of death. *chill*

Phobia 1: needle phobia
Phobia 1 Comments: I'm terrified of jabs and piercings. It started when i was twelve. All of a sudden, shots which used to be painless suddenly felt like they were skinning my arm. It felt as though they were using a vacuum to suck all the skin off my arm. And the worst is that no one believes me when i tell them this. My parents and doctors tell me not a be whimpish and i've been frocibly restrained to had a shot before. The pain is beyond description. They would only understand if i let them become me and let them experience the pain when a needle is stuck into me. I can now feel what it's like to have a shot even though i haven't had one for years. When i was watching my classmates get their blood drawn. I started to visaulize the feeling of getting my blood dranw and next thing i knew i fainted from the 'pain' i could feel. Then i fainted from the pain again when i had my ear pierced. But no one believes me when i tell them how it really feels for me. till then, i'll just avoid needles.

Phobia 1: Velvet
Phobia 1 Comments: I don't know why, but I am intensely terrified of velvet. I can't touch it, see it, be anywhere around it. I've only ever heard of one other person having this phobia, someone I read about online. I can't find a name for it and I can't explain why, but velvet gives me the willies. I absolutely hate it. It also applies to velour and certain types of felt.
Phobia 2: Diaper Decks
Phobia 2 Comments: One time I went into a bathroom and there was a diaper deck halfway open with a nastysmell coming out of it and for some reaosn all I could thinkw as that there must be a dead baby inside. I was terrified. To this day, I hate diaper decks and will always choose the stall without the baby changing station it it, even if it means waiting in line twenty minutes longer.

Phobia 1: Fear of unsertinty
Phobia 1 Comments: My greastest fear is not knowing where my feet will fall next. If I know that my feet are not going to be on a steady serface or they are hanging several feet in the air...I freak. I have had panics but not very severe since I can control it...pertty well. I first realized this phobia when I rode the Batman hanging roller coaster in Six FLags Magic Mountain. This fear has lead to people thinking I have other phobias, Hydrophobia, when my feet can't touch the bottom of the pool; fear of heights, I'm on a very high place with no solid ground, i.e hangind roller coasters; and Fear of the dark, because I can't SEE where my foot will go next.

Phobia 3: Spiders
Phobia 3 Comments: Again..this is because of the movie IT..when they see that giant spider in that cave and everyting...they scare me to really bad...I dont know why but I think it is because they have eight legs..I mean most others have either 4 or more then eight... and they are the only ones that have eight legs that I know of...i guess i just dont like bugs at all.

Phobia 1: spiders
Phobia 1 Comments: I am currently enroled in an advanced placement biology class. We are having a lab test on animals and of course there are spiders, centipedes and a wide array of other animals that i hate. the worst part is that everyone teases me and taunts me with the spiders. I often find myself so worked up that i can't focus in my other classes. I go home at night and have terrible nightmares about the spiders that i was teased with that day. I tried to overcome this fear but i have come to realize that i can't. People can say what they want to say and do what they want to do to me but this fear is so intense that i find myself crying or even having my whole body just itch.
Phobia 2: Blood, guts, and gore
Phobia 2 Comments: I can not handle blood. When i see it i flip out and my arm or leg will start to hurt. i just feel that blood belongs in the body and it should stay their. When i cut myself or somehow bleed i feel that the blood is going to seep out of the bandage and never stop.
Phobia 3: Needles
Phobia 3 Comments: I HATE NEEDLES!!! I can not understand how a nurse can intentionally hurt someone, when they have to give someone a shot. I am leaving for college this fall and will need to get immunizations before i go. I was also due for a tetnus shot two years ago but i can't muster up the strength to go. My friends are always teasing me about it and do whatever they can to make it look like they are really getting a shot(like when they use a push pencil)My mother says that i am just acting like a baby, but i just can't shake it off! I don't know why but i can't. When i see a needle or picture one, my body tingles and i get really hot. I also sometimes find it hard to talk, as if my mind go blank. Wheeeeee they are soo gross.

Phobia 1 Comments: i cant even watch the tv advert about milk without screwing my face up. i dont know why im scared of them i just am. they give me the creeps. if u locked me in a field with them i would surely die from a heart attack caused by fear. they have the most eerie eyes i have ever seen and when they stare at you i think they are doing it for some apparent reason that they must be planning to trample you and kill you. if anyone else has this or can help e-mail me. it really is a terrifying phobia and it makes me shirk and go cold watchi
