to me it looks like a finger print. we all know how 10 yr olds are with fingers. he probably accidentally touched the view finder. the picture was taken at such a close range that the light from the ceiling caught the oil off of the print.

To me it looks like a ball :) The orbs I have seen don't have the lines like this one or the black dots they are usually small also this one looks like it's a medium size ball. But I could be Wrong ~Genisis~

i think it is just a volley ball someone trying to pull a joke on you or something stupid it looks to solid to be anything paranormal the picture does have bad light too so when you put 2 n 2 together looks like a hoax

I think that more people should be like this) Good morning Shorty I am visiting your website as I type this... looking at the picture while having coffee... ummmmmmm, at first glance, it almost looks like a fingerprint on the camera lens but when looking more closely, well, it looks like a tunnel and the black markings or whatever made me think... oh heck, my impression? gee, to me it looked like a long tunnel with a light at the end and people waiting to greet whoever went down the tunnel.

I think it might be the way the light is behind the person in the picture. It looks like the light some how reflected on the lens and interfered with the picture.

(Another Note from Shorty) Ok here's what I think, no one will know what it is. It is in the eye of the beholder. I have had suggestions to send it to ghoststudy.com, let me say this with out trying to offend anyone... No one is an expert. No one has ever had hard proof of what is what. I have gotten so many questions about spirits and I will always tell the person that I don't know everything that there is to know and no one ever will, the only thing that people know is experences. What experences have told me is what I know, but other than that, there is so much that I don't know about spirits. I kinda get upset when someone calls themself a paranormal expert, there is no such thing!

After studying the photo, it seems to me that what we have here is an optical illusion caused by the nature of the lens, the shape of the overhead light, and the possibility of a reflection from the aperture opening on a coated lens. If the illusion were less spherical, then I would put forth the idea of ghostly apparitions. This time, however, it seems to be a mechanical/optical deal going on here.

see It looks like a print when I first noticed it but it does not have those little imperfections of a normal print it's pretty inconclusive but I wouldnt belive it or write it off just yet

I am not really sure what we have here, but it seems like the concentric lines are made by the faint grooves etched or ground into a camera viewfinder's glass to reduce or prevent glare. What the light source could be is hard to say. I believe that the placement of the light square on the subject's face is significant, assuming that the effect is paranormal. While the light is certainly "orb-like", its placement is unique in the many orb photos I have reviewed. Parenthetically, it seems from the lighting that the camera flash may have misfired. For some unknown reason this produces paranormal effects more often than a "normal" picture.

At first glance, yeah it looks like a ball, but looking more closely you can see the outline of the woman's shirt and hair through the round figure which makes the ball theory out of the question. Viewing more closely, if you are skeptic you will opt with a flash of light or finger print, which makes sense, but I don't think it is either of those and I have good reason but I don't want to waste a lot of time going into detail. So, here is what I see (please take into consideration that I have a very active imagination). I see the orb of light but inside it I see a face...a small evil face grinning with white eyes located directly below the three small black blotches and I see a hand grabbing something, located almost directly in the middle on the bottom of the orb. I think whatever spirit dwells in that house is not very nice and I am curious to know if these poor people have had any other experiences since this picture.....if they are still alive. But of course that is just me and my silly overactive imagination speaking, isn't it?

The unexplained object present in the picture is one of two things, number one: an abnormal (but not infrequent anomaly) having to do principally with refracting light properties and the camera's shutter speed, or, number two: a ghost experiencing a serious bad hair day. In the case of the first . . . just retake the picture. In the case of the second . . . RUN!! Bald ghosts are not to be toyed with.

If you look closely there is a face in the bottom of the "ball" only the bottom half but there is a face there

It looks either like a ball or a bubble-gum bubble being blown by the person behind it. It is a dark object that appears solid and reflects light off the top just as the person's hair in the background. It is definitely an object being used as a hoax.

ok here is my opinion, as I looked at the thing for a long time I noticed that it was not totally spherical like a ball is so I am ruling that out second the grooves up top that look like a finger print, that could be but like you said earlier they are to perfect to be finger prints, but what I do see is the out line of the ladies face and hair in the light, I believe like many people have stated, that it has to do with the flash going off a milisecond to late, it does happen a lot and also if it is a digital camera, from my experiance digital cameras mess up a lot and have the same sort of problems all the time, but that is my opinion.

(Addition to last)and now that I look at it even closer, notice the top of the moms head, how it has a light shining on to it probably there is a light right abover her, notice how the circular object is at its brightest at the top, hmmmmmm seems to me that it has to do with the ceiling light. yep looks the kid being younger and obviously shorter then the mom took the picture looking up at her, and he cought the light in the lense.

i think it looks like someone is blowing up a balloon at first, but when you look closer, it's too close to the camera lense in relation to the person. so yeah, i agree with everyone else too. it does look liek a finger print.

But how do i go about sending it? :-S That does look like a sort of weird finger print but I believe to strongly in spirits and everything to just cast it off as a simple finger print... most finger prints don't stay on the camera lense and come out. It's probably a balloon... or a ball........... someone was probably moving the camera when they took it, to make it blurry, so it could make it look more mysterious... well, i've see a ufo an ghost on a roof, andthese is picturesive taken but they were not so bright. i think this is a prank.

thats a finger print. i have seen orbs with my own camra, and they dont look like thaT at all,, orbs look like they have enegry around them like a planet, and some what gray in the middle, sometime being able to see a face, trust me on this people, its a finger print. - emilio
